Hi Derrick:
I fell victim to mistake #2. After writing a successful blog for almost 2 years, switched to my own domain, but the subdomain continues to be linked and promoted, while I add content to the new address. I know over time it will migrate and links will switch, but meantime, my AdAge ranking, Viral Garden top 25, even SOBCon links all still link to the old site. Best to start with your own domain!

Got your comment - we too have had the same issue for about 2 weeks now - I have written the company twice and gotten no response back from them. We have had to remove the widget from some of blogs as well....some of our blogs it still seems ok, I don't know.....it's strange....it's too bad, because it was an interesting tool to see where your traffic was coming from and how they found your site.

We will post an update if we hear anything.

Hi, I dont know who else or how, I can get this sorted, so as you advertise this widget, your the only people I can think to ask. I installed the Romlet widget a couple of days ago. Everything was ok till this morning, when I couldnt download the page of the blog. I discovered it was the widget. I had to remove it, and since then I havent been able to access the site at all. I can ping it and set a trace for it, no problem, but I just cant get on the site. Which means I cant have the widget on my blog any more. Would you have any idea why this would be happening to me?

Thanks for stopping by - yes, I was informed also, it is "technically" against Terms of Service at StumbleUpon to do that...however, I think a lot of people do it to get their stories noticed.

ok- so I checked it out. It's a very good course, very well done, but it is really meant for blogging newbies. It's great for someone considering a blog and want to know all the steps, or for someone who just started a blog and wants know more about making money with a blog, getting traffic, and things like that.

Hey Jessie - yes, I know the networking piece is hard! It takes so much time. I agree, SE traffic is a great way to go - as long as your keywords are not too hard to penetrate. We have a client involved in FOREX trading - and they have a hard time getting SE results because that word is so competitive. But if you can get 50% of your traffic coming in from SE that is great!
