CUIL vs. GOOGLE ? Who Has The Bigger, Better Search Engine?

Can CUIL  touch GOOGLE???

Can you imagine trying to start a retail business  and going after MACYS?  A start-up led by former star Google engineers, unveiled a new Web search service this week that aims to outdo the Internet search leader GOOGLE in size, but faces an uphill battle changing Web surfing habits.

Cuil Inc (pronounced "cool") is offering a new search service  that the company claims can index, faster and more cheaply, a far larger portion of the Web than Google, which boasts the largest online index.

The would-be Google rival says its service goes beyond prevailing search techniques that focus on Web links and audience traffic patterns and instead analyzes the context of each page and the concepts behind each user search request.

I have to tell you, I have tested out CUIL and WAS NOT impressed. I tried 4 different searches and it did NOT deliver me good information. Maybe because they are new, they have to work the bugs out.  I don't know.  You check it out and let me know what you find.

The claim they have only indexed 120 billion pages so far - and if you can't find your site, you can request them to crawl it.    crawlme @ cuil.com

Cuil’s goals are to index the whole Web, to analyze deeply its pages and to organize results in a rich and helpful way that allows you to explore fully the subject of your search.

Time will tell......check it out and let us know what you find!
