Marketing and Branding and Design




We did a piece last week about how bloggers/personal publishers were like pizza makers! It basically  stated  that a blogger is someone who puts posts out there without any real mission. A more serious blogger, or personal publisher, treats their blog much more like a business, a special creation. And branding and marketing is very important to the blogger who wants to be taken seriously.

We met Chris Brown at the recent SOBCon07 conference. Chris publishes a great blog on BRANDING & MARKETING. She offers tons of useful information like How To Write A Press Release, How To Market with Video, Writing and Publishing Articles, etc. All of these useful tips can be applied to most any business!    MIKE ROHDE of ROH DESIGN was another publisher we met at the recent conference. He writes about design, sketching, writing, mobile computing, technology, travel, cycling, books, music and more. He deals with some branding type issues like logo design, and also shares his insight on a lot of blogging topics.
